I don’t know why I even picked her to do this for, Battle In Seattle is the only film here that I love and she isn’t very good in any of these.

The Host, The Mist, Monsters, Them!, Trolljegeren & Starship Troopers.

I did find it hard to determine what counts as a Giant Monster film. I decided to leave off animated films (Princess Mononoke), films with giant animals that exist in real life (Jaws) and films where the giant monster wasn’t the main threat or didn’t play a big enough role (Alien).

Honorable mentions include Super 8 and King Kong (1933). Eight Legged Freaks and Tremors are fun, but not great films.

The Lost Boys, Interview With A Vampire, Nosferatu, Let The Right One In, Near Dark & From Dusk Til Dawn.

Although there have been way too many vampire films over the years, there still hasn’t been a brilliant one. These six vampire movies range from 2.5 to 4 stars. So hopefully something amazing will break the average/bad quality cycle within the genre very soon.

Honorable mentions would be Bram Stoker’s Dracula and the first two Blade films. Queen of the Damned and The Forsaken are kind of fun popcorn vampire films, but I wouldn’t really recommend them.

Top 6 Arnold Schwarzenegger films.

I actually liked Jingle All The Way, not as much as the other six here, but I didn’t hate it like everyone else. Kindergarten Cop was probably my number seven though.

Top 6 Animated Series from 2000-2009. This one was a lot easier than 1990-1999, plus I could easily choose six, as opposed to finding it hard to get my list down to 20 for the 90s.

I guess special mentions for the two Justice League shows and Drawn Together.

Waking Life, Princess Mononoke, Waltz With Bashir, My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, An American Tail, Fantasia, A Scanner Darkly, Howl’s Moving Castle, Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Mermaid, Grave of the Fireflies & The Land Before Time.

Special mention to Chicago 10 which I didn’t include because it was only partially animated.

Films that just missed out on being in the top 12 were Persepolis, Akira, Ponyo, Justice League: The New Frontier, Daffy Duck Quackbusters and The Cat Returns.

This chick got pretty shit looks and acting wise when she turned 18. I couldn’t do a top 6 because there aren’t six films that I like enough to list.

Sure he does too many boring period films, but there are some real gems in there. I left out The Hurt Locker because he only played a minor part.

Top 3 are five star films for me. Found it hard to decide between The Lookout and Sweet Jane.

Top 12 horror films of the past 5 years.

Pontypool, The Last Winter, The Host, The Mist, The Signal, Trick ‘r Treat, Slither, Stake Land, The House of the Devil, The Children, Splinter and White Noise 2: The Light.

I didn’t feel comfortable putting Monsters in my top twelve because I kept debating whether or not it was actually of the horror genre, however it would be at number seven if I did.

Honorable mention to Drag Me To Hell, The Deaths Of Ian Stone and Alien Trespass.

I find horror movies the easiest genre to do this for because they’re almost always awful or great. Mostly awful though.
